How does a computer look from the inside?
Jeroen van Loon took his computer to the hospital to have it examined.
What You See Is What You Get shows CT scan ‘slices’ that were made during this examination. The images are combined with the heartbeat-sound of van Loon’s, at the time, unborn son.
The goal was to look at, and perceive, computers through the same technology that we use to look at our organs, bones and tissue. Missing a limb and not having access to a computer or smartphone can feel as the same thing.
The work consists out of a video work and a screen-printed triptych.
